It’s launch day! 04.10.2021 - The adventure begins…
To the world, it’s just Monday 4th October 2021, but to me (Jade) and to Clare Anne Creative Co, it’s the first day of a very grand adventure!
I’m just going to breathe this in for a moment. The day is here, the website is live. We are cooking on gas.
It’s. Day. One.

INTRODUCTION
So, hello (eeek!), I am Jade, founder of Clare Anne Creative Co and at present, I make up 100% of the Clare Anne Creative Co team. 👋
Well, technically that is not true, my fiancé Nick makes up 50% of the company, but he’s not into the design and marketing stuff, he’s the numbers and logistics guy, and is busy running our other company (more on that later)… so he’s more of a silent partner and cheerleader… Although, for a silent partner he has a lot of opinions!
Anyway, it’s me, Jade, you’ll be seeing lots of around here. And as you can probably tell, I tend to ramble when I am excited/nervous. I’m the one who will be tip-tapping away on my keyboard, bringing you my latest learnings, insights and thoughts on all things branding, marketing, business and life.
I am also of course the one (if you choose to) you will work with one-on-one on any branding & web design projects and the one who will host workshops to help you build your small biz brand and turn you into a wholehearted, super-duper marketing whiz!
WHY THIS?
Clare Anne Creative Co brings to life a purpose I’ve held in my heart for a really long time - Which is to help small business owners build a brand they truly love and reach their audience through wholesome, enjoyable marketing!
I believe small businesses and the people who create them are the magic that holds communities together, they provide opportunity, they materialize out of passion and care, and they offer a richness to everyday life that just cannot be replicated.
Every day I am inspired by a small business, whether it’s an artisan maker’s workshop I walk by, an independent store I visit, or a creator of something beautiful I discover on Instagram. They inspire me and add to my life in small beautiful ways, and I want to give something back to them and be a part of growing their success!

WHY NOW?
I have talked about pursuing this purpose of truly helping small business owners thrive for a LONG time… but as with many things in life, it got put on the back burner, or suppressed by imposter-syndrome fuelled thoughts like “I’m not good enough”, or practical reasons like “It’s just not the right time”.
The thing about the Clare Anne Creative Co concept though, was that it just kept coming back, resurfacing, and representing itself to me.
You see, I have worked as a freelance marketing & design professional on-and-off for many years, almost constantly as a side hustle in addition to a 'real' marketing job, or more recently, alongside our other business, but felt that there was more I wanted to offer… a bigger, better impact than just squeezing in a little brand design here, a little campaign creation there, and building websites during my evenings.
I just knew I wanted to help small business owners, but something changed in the last 12 months that gave me the big kick up the butt (and confidence boost) I needed…
THE KICK UP THE BUTT
In 2019, Nick and I started a business called The Fizzy Pheasant, a country-luxe mobile bar co. specialising in weddings & rural events. Even with the curveball beginning with C, it has been an exhilarating and wonderful ride!
We created a brand, from scratch, and shared it with our dream clients in a way that was meaningful and memorable, and the success we had was phenomenal!
I got to see first-hand in our own small business, the immense power of creating an authentic brand that our audience loves and how that translates to actual business success.
When I realised this, I knew I couldn’t keep my learning and experience to myself anymore, I needed to share it with other small business owners, so they can thrive too!

My experience creating our own brand and marketing it successfully in away that felt wholehearted and aligned with me, and that allowing us to achieve such success in our first years of business DESPITE a pandemic, gave me the confidence boost and the kick up the butt I needed.
THEN THE BIG 3-0 CLOSED IN
Now I knew I was ready to launch Clare Anne to the world this year, so the question shifted from if, to when.
I quickly realised it would need to be toward the end of the year because our schedule was just so full of projects, as well as The Fizzy Pheasant events, but the decision to launch right now, today, was the result of me embarking on a 30-day reflection in the lead up to my 30th birthday.
When reflecting on what I had achieved in my 20’s, and what I wanted to achieve in my 30’s, I just knew the Clare Anne website needed to launch now, before the big 3-0, and as it’s my birthday on the 6th, it was now or never! So I pushed, took a lot of uncomfortable, scary action and in the last 3 weeks have gone from landing page to launch, and I am so glad I did it!
SO WHAT’S NEXT?
Now that the website is live, and I have a content planner overflowing with exciting topics and ideas for resources, I am going to be sharing something new on here every other week, and talking about it over on the ‘gram.
Alongside this, I’ll be continuing with projects I am currently working on for clients and will be developing the first of a whole series of workshops that I want to run for small business owners (launching early 2022).
